I looked at my calendar today and remembered that today was Armed Forces Day.  If you’ve been reading my blog for the past few weeks, you might remember how I met a lady, Cheryl, at the hospital whose son had just been promoted to Gunnery Seargent within the Marines, and who was stationed at Fort Devens. (My earlier post is here.) I remember finding that out the day after I met her and thinking, “wow, on a day that exists so that we can thank our military for everything that they do, this poor lady has to say good-bye to her son as he prepares for going to Iraq via California. That’s ironic.” And it stinks, for her.

Anyway, I am sending her and her son as many good vibes today as I possibly can. I’d like to thank them again for their sacrifices.
